Many matters can be scoped remotely before devices or data are transferred through agreed evidence-preserving arrangements. Where attendance is necessary, travel, access requirements, equipment and chain-of-custody arrangements are confirmed in advance.
Remote consultation and secure transfer
Initial consultations can often be conducted remotely. Original evidence should not be emailed, uploaded to consumer file-sharing services or forwarded through messaging applications until a suitable transfer process has been agreed.
